Do you have a candle warmer, that's what I use when they burn unevenly.

Some of my Bath & Body works candles burn in a weird way..............the candle oil just floats in the container and the flames are barely visible and that makes the scent very faint.

This has happened to several candles-at least 4-I try pouring out the melted wax-this works for a while and then the same thing happens-waste of money with all this wax being poured out!

Every now and then I get that with their candles as well, but it hasn't happened to me lately.....It is very disturbing because you are basically wasting good candle....I have read on the Candle Forum that some ladies were taking back their candles that did that and they received new candles.......If it keeps happening you may want to try that!

I haven't had candles from them. I think if they burned different than others I had, I'd take them back. Maybe it's a bad batch.

I gave up on wax candles a long time ago. Now I use beautiful glass oil burners that I get from Firelight Glass company. They are so pretty, and when I visit the Bay Area I try to stop at the factory in San Leandro CA and pick up some for gifts.

I burned a few candles awhile back and noticed soot when I wiped off my TV screen. Then, I noticed the walls around the area were dark as well. Soot, soot, soot.

There is no remedy for soot on the walls. No more candles for me. Now, I get the flameless candles from Publix ($4-5.99) and they flicker exactly like the real deal. I have the large and smaller ones and I love, love, them. They last about 75 hours. They also have a 4 hour timer, so I don't have to remember to shut them off.

They are also scented. I am not fond of Vanilla - so I got the Lavender.....

BTW, trimming the wick doesn't do any good as far as the soot is concerned......

Yes Soot is a problem with Bath and Body Works Candles as they are not Soy! I normally do not get much soot when I burn Soy Candles, that is why I only burn Bath and Body Works candles occasionally which is too bad because they have some great scents. Soy Candles tend to burn long, better and much less soot!!!!!!
