90 Day Fiance - Update on Danielle and Mohamed SPOILER ALERT

We’re only three episodes into the second season of TLC’s popular long-distance romance reality series 90 Day Fiance featuring six individuals visiting the US on K-1 visas, which give them 90 days to either marry their significant other, or pack their bags and head back home. As you might imagine, these relationships often cause friends and family members (and TV viewers) to question the motives of those who might just be in it for their green card, and no other Season 2 couple has raised more eyebrows than Danielle and Mohamed.

Here is the intro video to the couple:

In addition to their 15-year age difference (Danielle is 41, Mohamed 26), there is also the fact that Danielle has four kids — one of which is only five years younger than his potential new step-dad. Here’s a video clip in which Danielle and Mohamed discuss the first meeting between him and her oldest son:

Mohamed is from Tunisia and if you search for “Tunisia men marriage” in Google images the results are a little disconcerting in that there are several featuring younger, Tunisian who have married women from other countries. The photos link to stories (mostly British) with headlines like:

During the K-1 visa application process, Danielle made several posts in an online forum for people going through the process, and she eventually spilled the beans on whether or not they got married (as well as some financial issues she was dealing with).

My fiancee had his interview Feb 6. We are in administrative processing its been 6 weeks when we check website there has been a update every week. We both are getting frustrated we want to be together and start our life. Any else having same problem? How long can they keep you in adminstrative processing?

We got married July 9 and we need to fill papers out for adjustment of staus, but I lost my job the end of May so we are having some fincial problems. How long can you wait to do the the adjustment of status paper work. Can you get fees waived?

Fees are not waived, sorry. Ideally you should file as soon as possible which means being able to pay the applicable fees and possibly have a co-sponsor for the I-864 Affidavit of Support I-864.

We got married July 9 and have had some money issues, is it ok for spouse to do odd jobs making some cash like mowing lawns or things like that to help get money for adjustment of status?

And in case you were curious about the K-1 visa procedure (I know I was), here is some info from Wikipedia:

A K-1 visa is a visa issued to the fiancé or fiancée of a United States citizen to enter the United States. A K-1 visa requires a foreigner to marry his or her U.S. citizen petitioner within 90 days of entry. Once the couple marries, the foreign citizen can adjust status to become a lawful permanent resident of the United States (Green Card holder). Although a K-1 visa is legally classified as a non-immigrant visa, it usually leads to important immigration benefits and is therefore often processed by the Immigrant Visa section of United States embassies and consulates worldwide. If a K-1 visa holder does not marry his or her U.S. citizen petitioner within 90 days of entry, then he or she must depart the United States within 30 days.

The great majority of K-1 visas applied for are granted. In 2009, 95 percent of the K-1 visa applications were approved: out of 29,127 K-1 visas applied for, 27,678 were issued, and 1,449 refused, and 1,266 were waived/overcome.

The marriage will last until Mohammed meets people who can get him places - eg: jobs, whatever. If it does last, then there is definitely something wrong with him because she's not all there. Her 21 y/o son came right out and told Mohammed that he thinks his mother is being scammed. Time will tell.

He had absolutely nothing to lose by coming here and marrying her. Did he even have a job in Tunisia??? She is paying for everything (or was)... Now, she has no job and they all live in a tiny apartment in someone's house. Four females, one guy, one bathroom. When he first saw the place, he said "it's small but it's okay".... LOL - what choice did he have?

She had everything to gain by bringing him here. She couldn't find anyone in this country to date her?????? She paid for his travel, food, everything. So, why wouldn't he come here. The land of opportunity.

She said her job was to work with "challenged" people. So, why is she out of work? There should be a big demand for people who do that work - I'll bet she was taking time off to be with him and maxing out her credit cards. JMO The only marriage I think will work is the one with Amy (the girl from South Africa)... For a 21 y/o, she is very mature. He needs to grow up but if they do get married, then I think his brothers will straighten him out. She's adorable....

sophiamarie, I agree with you saying he's probably staying with her until he can meet new people etc. and I'm sure he will. She needs some type of mental help herself. She's sooo needy! That can't be healthy for any relationship whether it be with him or another guy. I don't think he could deal with the type of problems she has for long even if he wanted to. I think she's intentionally unemployed too, because I personally know there are job openings in her line of work.

Danielle is probably getting some kind of government assistance unless she was justifiably fired from her job. Maybe she's on welfare by now. She's got an entire household to support -- husband and 3 teenage daughters. I'll bet she's got her credit card maxed out too. But at least she's got love, right????

I think you're right. And the poor guy wouldn't stand a chance. It was pretty clear she was locked and loaded, but he put the brakes on. Can you imagine when he finally had to go thru with it? He probably had to fantasize about his girlfriend back at home.

Do you ever wonder what these two have in common??? They had only been together for a few days when she went to Tunisia (more money spent) to meet him. No seks then because he said it is against his religion.

So, the only thing they had in common, was waiting to get married so they could have seks. Now what???? They can't come home and discuss work, so what's left??? Oh, I know...... They could travel. He could walk down the block and play football and shoot pool while she walks to the unemployment office to collect the check and look for work. After all, he needs some spending money for the beer he is drinking after the football game.......

That should work for another month or so....

If I ever overheard a man whom I was dating refer to me as such, I would not be able to end the relationship fast enough! I wonder how she felt after seeing that comment. (I'm assuming all the couples are watching the show as it airs.)

People seem to think he'll come back because he wants citizenship but supposedly he's saying he doesn't have the cash to get back so Danielle is trying to get someone to sponser him. I wonder if this is all true?
