Do you think you have 1460 dreams a year?

According to the sciencetrivia website, that is the average.

I had a weird dream after waking up this morning and falling back asleep.

A woman I didn't know walked up to me and said, I have lost my purse.

I handed her mine and said, is this it?

She said yes. Thank you.

Immediately went and made sure my purse (and wallet) were safe and sound.

I dream most nights about the former DBF. Nothing terrible or romantic. We just talk.

Wish I could shake it. It's gone on for years and always just before I wake up so I recall it. *sigh*

I hardly ever dream. Sometimes the dreams are weird.

We all dream, some people don't remember doing so.

That figure doesn't surprise me, 3 or 4 dreams a night, I can see that.

If you divide the number by the days in a year, it only works out to 4 per night, and I'd bet that's a true number for many people. I've actually remembered more than one dream in the same night when I've been awakened for some reason.

I doubt that they last very long.

I couldn't say if I have that many dreams, but I always dream and I usually remember at least one in the morning. Last night's dream was filled with obvious allusions - literally crumbling ground under my feet and not taking a leap. The interesting thing was that through this whole dream I was on my horse :-)

ETA: Ha! I bet the horse means I feel like I am being carried by somebody and actually that is true. Didn't think of that until I read my post. Boy, my dreams are not very deep, are they.

I never thought of this, but I bet it is accurate.

1460 divided by 365 nights is 4 per night. That seems normal. We only remember a small fraction, though.

Sounds reasonable to me. I have several dreams a night. Most all are crazy stuff, and some go on and on and on.........

I've had some pretty weird dreams like people complimenting my jewelry and I say oh here take them, smiling while I take it all off and give to complete strangers. Not something I would ever do in real life although I have given stuff away free. (I gave a sewing machine to a person in need who has the talent to make her own clothes, I also gave away a couple BMak bags to a woman who really, really desired them but could not afford to buy her own.) I'm a sap sometimes, I guess.

I know that we have several dreams each night. I just wish I could remember them. Unless I am dreaming just as I wake up, I never recall any of them.

Yep, I got an auto calculate set to "on" in my brain. It also can be put in "playback mode" so I can relive every single one of them should I choose to do so.

I also just took title to the Golden Gate Bridge.

I wish I could remember more of mine, too. Sometimes when I wake up from a good one, I try to go back to sleep and hope it continues. Doesn't work

I think I had 1,460 dreams last night and this morning alone. I slept for almost 12 hours.
