Does anyone still shop at K Mart?

I have not been inside one for at least 10 years. it's not so much the junky merchandise although that's part of it. it was more their terrible customer service (what there was of it) and the hassle you had when you tried to check out and either the items didn't have price tags or they were on sale and the sale price didn't ring up and you had to wait and wait for someone to go get the price or look up the sale price and re-ring the item. They were a mess and I swore never again and have never been back since. they were brought to mind today when I read they were opening at 7 AM Thanksgiving Day. They must be really hard up for business.

I can't remember the last time I was in our Super K-Mart. I hate the store. It looks junky and the grocery prices are high.

I know someone who does all her grocery shopping there though.

Yes, I occasionally shop at Kmart. It's my go-to destination for all things junky.

There is a ""House of K"" about 10 miles from here. It's been well over 10 years since I've been in it.

It is junky but not as bad as walmart. We have a few items that we get there.

There is a K Mart near me that I visit about once a month and one near my mom that is quite nice. It is the slowest cash register line I've experienced so I go early in the morning. I much prefer it to the big W.

I haven't been in a K Mart in a really long time. The only one I know of is kind of out of the way.

I can pass 3 Targets and 2 very nice Wal Marts and still not even get to a K Mart.

We haven't had them here in years and last time I shopped there...the CS was terrible.

K-Mart moved away from us a long time ago. At one time I think we had three stores here but after closing a couple the last one finally packed it up. It was the place to shop back in the 60's and early 70's.

I buy some nice sheet sets at KMart. They're soft and cozy. There is a store about 2 miles away.

There's a Kmart I go to because of it's Slot Department. Translation....it has a gaming department. I have hit some good 7 spots there playing keno. But getting back to the actual store.....their cat food is frequently marked down to 20 cans for $10 and so I'll stock up when I see that. Also, I purchased one day kitchen oven mitts.

We have no K-Mart in my area anymore. When it was here locally it was kind of out of the way so I never went there.

Wow, ILikeShade's Kmart is jazzy with the slots department.

I like casual Basic Editions tops for weekend wear. My favorite Kmart is closing in January. It's not an issue with activity at the store - the guy who owns the land that the KMart, Coney Island, Auto Repair Place and Burger King sits on thinks he's sitting on a gold mine and wouldn't agree to a 5 year lease from the "house of K" (love that expression). He wanted 10 years.

There is one right on the road of my daughter's college. We went in for last minute stuff that we forgot, heavy duty tension rod, extra pillows etc.

Also want to say that the workers are some of the nicest people I've ever met. I always smile and exchange pleasantries. People have to take whatever job is available though they may not like it and I applaud them all. In addition, the store is sparkling clean.

adelle....it is fun. Smoke free and good banter with the other players. Met a lot of nice people and you should see some of the fancy cars in the parking lot who come in just to gamble.....Jags, Mercedes and everyone is laid back.
