<title>topic Litter mate - Update in Community Chat</title>
    <link>https://community.qvc.com/t5/Community-Chat/Litter-mate-Update/m-p/102902#M50059</link>
<description>&lt;P&gt;I called the shelter to arrange a meeting of my two &amp;amp; the adoptee but he has been adopted! Since we have 4 dogs &amp;amp; this would have been dog #5 we are a bit relieved. I want the adoptee to settle with his new family &amp;amp; then at a later date we want to introduce the siblings (if they are) &amp;amp; see what happens. Thanks for those who responded. You all seem to indicate they would remember being litter mates. I've done some research &amp;amp; most "experts" suggest the animals would not remember but these dogs were born under very adverse circumstances &amp;amp; their survivorship instincts have kept them alive. We are certain the one dog would not have survived without his brother's aid. We've had them 10 months &amp;amp; the smaller one (60lb. baby!) only recently started going outside by himself. He will not eat unless his brother starts eating first &amp;amp; when they sleep they must touch each other. 98% of the timethey are together. In some ways it is so sad to see them so needy of each other. We wonder how horrific the first 5 months of their lives must have been but to see their attachment &amp;amp; devotion to each other is something we have never witnessed. Some think these dogs are the lucky ones but honestly my husband &amp;amp; I are the lucky ones. We have never seen so much love that these two dogs have for each other &amp;amp; us.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
