since you, like me, LOVE the little homes..........I have one with a twist for you........this little gem is made out of pallets........yep, plain old pallets.........they sell the plans for $75.........I think this would be great for a mountain get away..........they actually designed the house for refugee living, to show you could do a good cheap, sustainable home....I would do some changes on the interior, but I actually like the idea of this..........check it out...................................raven

I love these little homes too! I have been seeing more and more of them and people really have such great imaginations don't they? These little homes could really help out a lot of different people all over the world.

What was the name of the communities with small-ish houses? Park Lane or something similar? I recall a thread a couple of years or so ago.

Wonderful for areas with plenty of land, too. Entire communities could be built in a park like setting, with a few ponds here and there. Truly very nice for many folks.

in an area prone to blizzards, hurricanes and really cold temps I'd be skeptical!

I do love the idea of the little homes. Wish DD would put one for me in her back yard ;o)

Hey, a great idea! Instead of hiring a contractor to add another bedroom/bathroom onto a house, this mini-home would be ideal for guests and/or family members!
