I am hearing they don't know yet.

Seeing the kids running out of the building is horrible.

I still haven't seen that the shooter is dead on our local stations, including the FOX affiliate.

The only thing I have found that says anything about the shooter being dead is on the Foxnews.com site that says "unconfirmed reports that the gunman is dead"

No other news (that I can find) says anything about the shooter being dead OR alive--or even if there is more than one, or one.

A gunman believed to have opened fire at Marysville-Pilchuck High School Friday morning is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to two law-enforcement sources.

Police have not released details, but there are reports of as many as seven other people shot about 10:45 a.m.

Three of the injured were taken by ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, including one with a head wound.

Police are searching room to room with guns drawn, leaving tape to mark the doors of the rooms that have been cleared.

Some students were being evacuated from the school, walking out and across the fields with their hands up. Others were being told to stay inside classrooms.

Some were bused to a nearby church, and police are asking that parents not try to approach the school.

Ayn Dietrich-Williams, a spokeswoman for the FBI in Seattle, said agents are on their way to Marysville to offer assistance.
