Hello my friends! Hope you all had a great day today! Talked to Deil, she had a good doctor's appt. her doctor believes that her leg pain comes from her spinal nerve that goes to the thighs - she had another X-ray done this morning - to check it out and results will be tomorrow. She's fine so far as far as her BP is concerned, but she shouldn't go out and rake leaves - so we are going there tomorrow and Linus will get the leaves taken care of for her, as he has a couple days off work now. I don't know when we'll be back, hope to get back tomorrow night, depends how much he has to do. So - if not here, just continue on this thread like before and I'll add on when I get back - have no idea what the future holds. I thank and praise God for her good doctor's visit today. She even got a hug from her doctor. When getting the X-ray - the X-ray technician asked her name, and address etc, and then she said, we were expecting a 92 year old lady here but you don't look near that!! Then she was asked what's her secret for a long life. Deil simply said, "Moderation, prayer and Faith. She got a hug from her doctor in leaving too, so it was a good morning for her! She loves her lady doctor alot - has had her for a great many years! Ooops! I'm rambling on too much - going into the inspirations and know that you are all in my prayers, Thanks for praying for my sister!

When we give in to fears and worries they will take charge of our lives.

Lord, I place my trust in You so that I may experience every opportunity

and not miss in life that which is meant for me.

Scripture for the day:

minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is

Meditation for the day:

All of us have our own battle to win, the battle between the material

view of life and the spiritual view. Something must guide our lives.

Will it be wealth, pride, selfishness, greed or will it be faith,

honesty, purity, unselfishness, love and service? Each of us has a

choice. We can choose good or evil. We cannot choose both. We can

keep striving until we win the battle. When we win the victory, we

can believe that God will rejoice with us!

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may choose the good and resist the evil. I pray that I

will not be a loser in the battle for righteousness.

JUST "DO IT"

Ephesians 6:11-13put on the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of

righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace ,and I would

pick up the sword of the spirit and the shield of faith

I was so delighted when I finally memorized the pieces of the armor

of God, as Paul tells us about in the Bible-Ephesians 6:11-13. I would

put on the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the

belt of truth, the shoes of peace ,and I would pick up the sword of

the spirit and the shield of faith.

This entire procedure would take place as I lay in bed each morning.

I felt like I was really equipping myself against Satan, and to a

certain degree, I was. All my bravado came crashing down one day, as

fear of an impending airline flight began to creep into my mind. I

have always been afraid to fly, but I thought I had overcome this

apprehension, with God’s help. I wrestled with all the negative

thoughts Satan kept placing in my mind, trying to dispel the dread

that increasingly crept into my mind and heart. I was still putting on

the armor of God each morning, wondering how Satan could get such a

hold on me . I asked my prayer partners to pray for me, helping me

overcome this unrealistic fear. I was ashamed that I didn't have more

faith in God, and that I allowed Satan to grab me like that. Well, the

prayers were answered, because my fears were totally destroyed and I

really enjoyed my flight .

After I returned home I began to think about the armor

passage in the Bible. It dawned on me –more was needed with some of

those pieces of armor that just placement on the body. Take the sword

of the spirit(God’s Word)..I needed to have the scripture handy-

ready to rebuke Satan as he whispered his lies into my ears. And

what had I done with the shield I picked up each morning? I guess I

must have just grabbed it limply and left it dangling at my side. This

shield is made up of my beliefs, and was intended to quench the fiery

arrows of Satan. God gave me that shield to USE, quenching those

fiery arrows . I needed to pick it up and reject those lies from

Satan.

The same is true for the belt of truth. I pray if I am

ever tempted to lie or deceive anyone, that belt would just squeeze me

tight –getting my attention about living my life God’s way. Also,

those shoes of peace- I need to point them down the path of amity when

conflicts

arise.

Yes, I need to put on my armor each morning, but I also need to take

these pieces and USE them. Yes, I need to “Just Do

It”!!!!!

I AM HERE

When you feel no one around I AM HERE!

When you feel you can't get off the ground I AM HERE!

When you feel that everything is lost I AM HERE!

When you feel in the seas you are tossed I AM HERE!

Don't let the world bring you down for I AM HERE!

I know you are going through hard times know that I AM HERE!

I feel the pain with in your spirit know my child I AM HERE!

Turn it all over to me and let me take care of you for I AM HERE!

I am holding you in my holy arms feel me my child for I AM HERE!

God will never leave us as long as we believe in Him and love Him and do His

will.

No matter what satan throws at us God will always be there for us.

Never forget that He is always there with you through it all!

Someone Else

Our church was saddened to learn this week of the death of one of our most

valued members, Someone Else. Someone's passing creates a vacancy that will

be difficult to fill. Else has been with us for many years and for every one

of those years, Someone did far more than a normal person's share of the

work.

Whenever there was a job to do, a class to teach, or a meeting to attend,

one name was on everyone's list, "Let Someone Else do it." Whenever

leadership was mentioned, this wonderful person was looked to for

inspiration as well as results; "Someone Else can work with that group." It

was common knowledge that Someone Else was among the most liberal givers in

our church. Whenever there was a financial need, everyone just assumed

Someone Else would make up the difference.

Someone Else was a wonderful person; sometimes appearing superhuman. Were

the truth known, everybody expected too much of Someone Else. Now Someone

Else is gone! We wonder what we are going to do.

Someone Else left a wonderful example to follow, but who is going to follow

it? Who is going to do the things Someone Else did? When you are asked to

help this year, remember - we can't depend on "Someone Else" anymore.

I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose

sides even when I don't want to.

Lord, thank you for not giving up

On me, I've been so wrong

And now I'm asking you to help me

From now on to be strong;

In remembering what I need to do

And as I open the closet door

I pray that you'll forgive me

And that you will restore

In me the values needed

To be what I should be

And that's to come and talk with you

Much more regularly.
