I don't have any stylist loyalty and usually go to someone on a whim who takes walk-ins. But, I went to an actual salon recently at the recommendation of a friend. At the end of the appointment, I went to pay with my debit card and the stylist said 'oh, I only take cash'. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With the price of a real hair cut ($45 or so) and a product I bought and wanting to tip, I was in for close to 70 bucks. Which, even when I do have cash, it's usually 'spare' cash like less than 20 bucks just in case I need to get out of a parking garage or want to buy an impromptu cup of coffee. With the debit card being accepted almost everywhere, I carry cash less and less.</DIV> <DIV> <DIV>Anyway, I didn't have the cash. I had get in the car and find an ATM and come back to the salon to pay her, which was annoying and inconvenient. </DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But, before I get too annoyed with her, I thought maybe this is normal and since I don't go to salons that often I am just out of the loop.
