A few months ago former QVC host Lisa Mason revealed on Facebook that her beloved husband was diagnosed with cancer.

On Saturday Mason posted an update on Gino, the Samoan-descent spouse she would always mention on on-air.

"He is the strongest man I know," Mason wrote. "Brain surgery followed by excruciating brain radiation. Now chemo. He is my rock, my one true love. He is my husband. If The Lord took us both tonight, we would have maxed out on love."

"We live a small, simple life by society's standards," Mason said. "But we are wealthy beyond belief in Faith, family and friends. Please continue to pray for my beloved as we start this next journey together. With sincere love and appreciation."

She was always such a sweet, soft, genuine host on QVC. There is no one like her hosting now. Really one of a kind. This must be so difficult for her. A pray a miracle happens.

A dear friend of mine went through brain cancer with her husband. It is a nightmare for both and a shattering experience. I hope Lisa and Gino come out of it with sunshine in their future on this, but it is a really ugly ugly disease.

Forty years ago my mother was dx with breast cancer and had treatment. Three years later she had a stroke while teaching my brother how to drive - luckily when it began he was behind the wheel so at least she wasn't driving. She too had to undergo additional chemmo and radiation - her death certificate says breast cancer which metastisized to the brain. And you are right, it was a nightmare. Good wishes to both.

Yes,, it is a 'really ugly.....' disease. My dear father went through it, grade 4 glioblastoma. He was diagnosed in November of 1998 and went for treatments which were terrible. (understatement) He went Home the following May 1999. As much as I didn't want him to pass, I knew he was out of his pain/suffering.

Thanks for the update, OP of Lisa and Gino. I sincerely hope there can be a miracle.

She did have a very calming personality. I liked her a lot. I haven't seen my grandson in about a week because I have pneumonia. I have been coughing like crazy the whole week. Hopefully I will be able to see him this week because I miss him like crazy. My daughter has been putting lots of videos of him on FB for me though so that is nice.

Irsh, I am so sorry to read that you have pneumonia! I didn't know you were sick, I totally understand how hard it is for you, I had it last year, it really saps us.

Irsh, I am so sorry to read that you have pneumonia! I didn't know you were sick, I totally understand how hard it is for you, I had it last year, it really saps us.

Oh thanks Noel! I have had a bad cough for the last month and despite antibiotics and steroids, it has gotten a lot worse. They diagnosed me last week. I go to the ENT dr on Tuesday and if it isn't any better they said they would probably hospitalize me. I am hoping they won't but I have gotten worse. It is just frustrating! Lol.
