A photo of a traveler in a homemade “hazmat” suit at Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C., is making the internet rounds as hundreds of real suits are selling out online.

The female passenger was spotted sitting down in an airline terminal and dressed in what appeared to be a full-length white onesie, topped with a blue rain poncho, blue latex gloves and a white face mask.

I understand this was a home-made Hazmat suit.

Well in Asia lots wear masks every day. But anyway this suit this person has on obviously wont help if people who wore real hazmat suits still got it taking care of patients! I have the simple answer, don't fly back and forth for awhile!

We see several folks wearing masks around here during the flu season(s). I do believe it's a habit/custom in some areas, and they continue to be cautious when living/visiting here. Well, good for them! Whatever helps with our safety and health is a good thing. IMO. p.s. Some folks use umbrellas on very hot days; and when I visit very warm/hot areas, I do the same. Much better than baking under the hot sun, especially when one isn't used to hot weather.

If this helps a person feel safe and gives them peace of mind then I see nothing worng with it....and if this ebola crisis isn't contained here in the US...this look could become quite common.

When my husband and I enjoyed our Friday fish dinner today, I chose the soup instead of the salad bar. I usually choose the salad bar, but the ebola scare made me think twice. This is the first time, since hearing the news, that fear of this disease has affected my behavior.

I used to love salad bars but quite a few years ago I stopped eating from them. Too many little kids touching stuff etc.

I didn't see that one thread. I know Mr. or Ms. W has been deleting all the ebola threads in the past day. Maybe the title of that thread was too obvious?...which is why I made the title of this thread not obvious.

We have a wonderful hot and cold breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet in one of our local markets. They put out the lunch/dinner food at around 11 a.m. Really delicious stuff. When I want it I make sure I'm there at 10:50.

Also, I have decided no more shaking hands with anyone. There's no reason to.

We ate at what we 'cheeseheads' refer to as a 'supper club'. Nicer restaurant with a large bar area. Most still offer a well-stocked salad bar with the regular makings for a tossed salad plus sundry appetizers such as pickled herring, cheese spread, crudité, etc.

Ahhh deep! I keep forgetting you're a cheesehead. It's been a couple years since I have visited your fair state. I miss it. We have a supper club where I live with what we call a "relish cart" I still can't resist that. Such good treats!

I'll be flying tomorrow again. 2nd time this month. What will bother me more are people who shovel food into their mouths with dirty hands. It's disgusting.
