I know. I keep getting the page "QVC Temporarily Unavailable. Making Updates."

Anyhow...I knew as soon as I saw her serious face at the top of the hour and then heard her serious voice what she was going to say. She said after much thought, she has decided to leave QVC in December and "We will talk again."

She's one smart cookie (where does that expression come from? lol) and I'm sure she will be successful in whatever she chooses to do.

23 years ago I got my first job in television shopping. It wasn't something that I always knew I wanted to do, it was something I was lucky enough to fall into because I really needed a job! Ironically, it suits my skills very well. I love to shop and I love talking to people . Over my last 20 years at QVC I have had the most amazing opportunities met the most wonderful people and gone to the most beautiful places. I cannot tell you how lucky I feel. But there comes a time when you have done what you can do and it is time to see what else there is. And that is where I am. After a lot of soul-searching I have decided that I will be leaving QVC. It is time for a new challenge and a new adventure. Although it is a little scary to leave what you have always known, I am very excited about what lays ahead. My greatest hope is that the friends that I have made here will continue to be my friends in the future. There are many people that I work with that I care for deeply and will miss seeing on a regular basis, but I know that we will make time for each other in our lives. Although I will miss talking to you on a regular basis through your television, I do hope that you will find time for me in your life in the future as well. Luckily, we live in an age where it is easier to stay in touch. After all, that's what social media is for. In the next few months, before I leave on December 12, I will treasure every moment more because I know I will not have them much longer. But I will also treasure the opportunity to be excited about what is to come.

Thank you for your kindness, support and friendship throughout the years. It has meant more to me than I can say. You have brightened my darker times and been there when I needed a smile, and I hope that we can continue to do that for each other in the years to come.

This sounds so much like Patty Riley's goodbye and we never saw her again. I know Lisa will do well in whatever her future hold but Lisa in my book is the face of QVC.

i am surprised that she isnt staying through the holidays, especially since they focus quite a bit on her decorating style, her home, and her gift choices.

I just did a google trying to remember the name of another host and came across an article (probably very old) about her being stalked. Wonder if that had anything to do with her decision.

Probably just time for her to try something else. I really wish her well. She wasn't ever my favorite host but I thought she was probably the most professional. She will really be missed.

It was Saturday's Dooney show. Sue and Lisa were on air and of course they took customer calls. One call started out like all others. Then the caller said (and I don't remember the exact words so I'm paraphrasing), "Lisa, we would like to hear more from Sue". Sue chuckled as did Lisa. Lisa replied with, "Ok! I will do that" and then to Sue, "She loves me". Of course the Community went nuts because many understood it as the caller telling Lisa to shut up which wasn't the case at all. The caller was being a matter of fact and Lisa took it with good natured humor. People were bashing Lisa as well as the caller in multiple forums and on facebook. It was bad.

I doubt it.....I'm sure this has been in the works for awhile.....things like this don't happen overnight.

I would imagine it's been something on her mind for awhile and she has something in the works. She's a smart woman.....I don't think she would leave w/o something solid lined up.

Well maybe with new management, she wasn't going to be able to do all the things she has been doing. There comes a time in many lives when you do have to make changes in your profession, and maybe this is the time for her. Am sure she did a lot of soul searching, and didn't she just have a vacation recently.....????? So, maybe that is when she made up her mind to leave the Q.

Dunno. She recently mentioned on air comments on facebook that added to a bad week (the week that Joan Rivers died). The constant beat downs must get to her.

And I doubt she needs to have anything lined up. She's probably good financially.

I think Lisa is the best host they have. Im sure she will be missed by many. I am also sure that she will be off to do bigger and better things in the future!

(And about the stalking, which I hate to mention but since someone else did I will say what I have read before. Yes sadly she has been stalked many times and there were court cases pertaining to the stalkers. The last being just in Dec of 2013).
