DH just got an e mail saying NOT to download any flashlight apps on your phone or tablet. They are almost all malware. If you have pone get it off ASAP. They even recpommended completely wiping your computer clean, of course after saving all your necessary stuff to the cloud or somewhere. It's always something.

Do you have an iphone? If you do, they have one built into the phone. I use it all of the time.

I have the LG optima and I had not installed one on there but I did on my chromebook. I just removed it and then put all my sensitive info onto a USB flash drive and completely erased my computer then re installed everything from the flash drive. PITA for sure.

I usually carry an ink pen size flash light IF I'm going to a play or concert or other performance where I have to enter or exit in the dark. Although a phone works too.

I get weird emails all the time, THAT is what you should be afraid of, not the flashlight app.

According to my email account, I have to be in court for some sort of case about 3 times a week, and in different cities that I have never even visited. LOL

Well, you could always just pick up a few of those flashlight gift sets from the Q. I hear they're popular this time of year (anecdotal evidence from the mailman, the busdriver, the teachers, the hairdresser, the dog walker, and the random person who just drops by to pick up their unexpected holiday gift).
