Viewpoints is a joke.

I will once again call out the moderators here. Thread after thread has been deleted, and no one is really being "bad". It is to the point that we cannot discuss anything more controversial than the exact shade of blue the sky is, or it is deemed inappropriate.

Q, why don't you just close this down if people can't discuss timely topics, and show a variety of opinions?

Last week, Marianne started a thread about OT threads being moved.

I'm not sure whatever happened with that but yesterday I logged on and went to the beauty forum only to see topic after topic that had nothing to do with beauty and they are still there today.

Either the mods decided moving threads wasn't a good or once again, the moderation is very inconsistent.

I probably depends on your definition of ""bad..""

I look at it this as their ""playground.."" their rules..their decision. If I don't like it - I can either pull my big girl panties up and suke it up as it is their place...or find another place that better suits me.

Just because it is Viewpoints doesn't mean they want a political or hotbed free for all..

This IS a shopping site and for customers. They don't want new people showing up to look at a item..find their way here and then bammm find some nonsense..

Hey if you just mention Lisa R, her fly girl jumps on the report button and it's gone. Even if it is harmless. The whole place is a mere facade for the power trips that some are on.

I'm just sayin', they might as well close the playground all together, as no one gets to play here anyway. And most of the latest poofs were just discussions on topics of the day, simple opinions being exchanged, ideas shared. That seems to be too much, so lets just limit it to beauty where the ugliest it gets is how bad a lipstick color looks on someone.

It is voluntary to post here, QVC knows that if a person really doesn't want to post here any longer they will leave.

It has been that way as long as I can remember,.....posts being poofed that were seemingly innocent.

mominohio: I understand what you are saying. But seriously, many "hot topic" threads start out semi-ok but devolve into who can thump their chests the loudest.

When you start seeing slams agains a poster's intelligence, or a boast about "I'm right, you're wrong" no matter - that's when the webmeister pulls them. Once a thread becomes personal, we're off and running and eventually hit the webbie's wall.

I think we've been given quite a bit of space to talk about some serious issues; but eventually those threads are always removed.

Many of the threads I'm referring to I never posted on. I just read them with interest, and then when checked back to follow, they were gone. It hasn't got anything to do with my posts, but the general things happening here.
