I thought I was seeing things, but RRR's thread "Gmar Chatimah Tovah"

just got moved to Among Friends.

Just packed up and moved!

i think it is webbies way of telling us that prayer threads, religious threads should be posted in among friends instead of on viewpoints. sunala has already moved her longstanding friday threads to among friends a couple of weeks ago.

tv shows generally dont have the potential to "go off the rails" around here.

Every other board I've ever frequented has done this for years. But it's usually done on a more consistent, and over-all, basis. Any threads that are OT are moved to the appropriate forum. It's the way it should be, IMO.

Aha that's what happened! I was posting on RRR's thread on Viewpoints a few minutes ago, and after it posted I found myself on the Among Friends board.

Okay at least I know I'm not going crazy

While that may sound silly, really what is the point of viewpoints?

Hi Marianne! Who knows. I suppose the criteria would be that if there is a forum for a given subject, that's where the thread should be posted.

As for QVC rules - I don't quite think logic applies.

I think Among Friends is quieter and doesn't get as much traffic as Viewpoints. The potential for arguing is less, IMO.

It only seems fair that those types of threads be moved to AF since gloriajean's thread is there and she isn't allowed to post it on VP's.

They should rename AF to include Prayers or something then.

So, being my argumentative self, I am going to ask-- what about when we ask for prayers or thoughts for an issue (health, personal...)? Do they count as prayer threads and should be moved to?

I am a trouble maker today--must be my mood. Sorry.

We could drive ourselves crazy with the what if and yeah buts. I really think most of the decision is with the individual webbie as a whole.

I don't know.

I don't think there are any hard and fast rules to how they do things. Maybe threads that get reported or they get called about are being moved so appease both sides.

As for prayers or good thoughts, maybe they will decide on a case by case basis what stays and what gets moved.
