I was reading it and going to post only to find "commenting period has been closed."

That right there is one reason why this place isn't bustling with activity. Nothing is allowed to remain 'active' unless it's what I consider to be inconsequential fluffy nonsense. I know, they own it, they rule it. But, their rules are insulting and just plain stupid.

So true so true! I was looking forward to coming back to read what others thought only to find it was closed and it appears to be for no good reason.

I did the same thing, TYAK.....I also went to make a comment on the breach of security at the BIG house.....all gone !

It appears that thread turned a bit nasty, so it may be gone soon.

If you are concerned about the lack of activity, how about participating more and creating ne threads? Yes, there are rules -- for a good reason. When threads disappear, it is not fair to lame QVC; the fault lies on our fellow posters.

If they are going to close the thread, I wish they would do it before poofing posts.

I continue to shake my head about nasty, multi, nic trolls continue to be able to post over and over, but.......... light, funny, benign posters' comments/threads get poofed.

I know, their board, their rules, blah, blah, blah.......

It seems like there used to be so many new threads started every day all day long. The boards used to be busy all night long too.

I must agree that the board is not bustling with activity, some of the more intelligent posts, the witty posts, the fun and lighthearted posts are missing lately.

And for that, I apologize.

It is Fall in the Ozarks, I have been busy. I am so sorry

So many articulate, intelligent posters seem to be missing that it just isn't as much fun coming here anymore. Debates are all so closely monitored that Viewpoints is no longer a place to state an opinion.

I was wondering what happened to Ennui and Tam? I remember both of them coming back recently with new nics only to see them gone within a day or two. Add to that a multitude of other posters that are missing and this board has become a shadow of what it used to be.

I didn't realize Ennui was under a different name. I noticed she was ""missing."" Then I read a thread yesterday that she isn't allowed to post? Not sure about that or how other posters know that.

Tried that, been there done it. As the OP stated, nothing of any substance is allowed to stay.

I think she changed her nic ever so slightly when she came back but she only posted a brief period of time. Now she seems to be missing.

That's always been here, unfortunately. I think that may be the reason they are cracking down so hard... They must have received a lot of complaints.
