    <description>&lt;P&gt;I guess it's a kind of guide wire so the surgeon will know where the cancer was found since there was no lump.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I'm more worried about that than the actual surgery.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I guess they insert the wire during an ultrasound - then take me for a mammogram to see if it was put in the right place - then to surgery.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I'll have twilight sleep and go home the same day.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;If there are any cancer cells in the margins they will remove the lymph nodes under one arm.  The doctor said she would be very surprised if there were any so I'm hopeful.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Anyway, is the wire as bad as it sounds?&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I still feel blessed that cancer is non-invasive - just a little anxious.
