Surgery is our only option - based on 2 separate opinions. Due to the extreme expense of total hip replacement, we have opted for a Femoral Ostectomy where they remove part of the femoral bone which will remove the bone on bone contact. The first hip will be done in a month &amp; the second hip 6 months after the first hip - based on how well he recovers.</P> <P>Have you had this surgery for for your dog? How are now? Crash is not a candidate to be treated w/ medicine as the dysplaisa is very advanced at such a young age &amp; if we don't have the surgery he will go lame in his back end. Our son is worried sick about his boy - its his very first time as a pet parent.</P> <P>Any experience, suggestions, tips you could share that you think would help us would be greatly appreciated.
