If you loved the house and the bathrooms aren't really big enough for tubs?

Keep in mind this is a starter house, not your big dream mansion. We are fixing it up to resale and it will be in a cheaper price range. In order to put baths in and have them decent sized, we would need moving walls, take out windows, change outer siding, etc. and we really don't want to do that.

This is a really old house. I think they put the bathrooms in closets. It is a victorian era house and the house may have not had baths to begin with (think outhouse), I don't know.

Now, We "could" put bathtubs in both, but they would be REALLY cramped. That's how they are now and I mean cramped. 12" of walking space and a 12 inch or so teensy vanity sink. The baths are so crowded, I don't really want to leave them that way. But that is the other option.

Should we put tubs in and have them cramped or put showers in and have bigger vanitys, more storage and walking space?

Please post your views. I hope the votes aren't 50/50. LOL
