The Meredith Viera Show

I tried to watch it twice. Couldn't get past the first 5 minutes. Stunningly awful show.

Has anyone else watched it? Opinions?

The opening is so annoying that I too would have come away with the same opinion as you have and never watched again.

I fortunately record the show and I found that if I fast forward through the beginning section of the recording and start watching it after the first commercial the show is pretty good.

Meredith is a total professional and I'm sure they'll respond quickly to feedback if things aren't going well. New shows often take awhile to find their footing, so they have plenty of time to tweak it here and there. Almost every show is a bit awkward at first; I remember the horrible reviews that Katie Couric's show had when it first started and it seems to be doing well now. Give this one a chance.

I don't either. I watch Good Morning America, the "opening chat" with Kelly and Michael and don't watch again till the evening news.

My husband has the tv on all day. He watches CNBC till 4 and that's when our local news starts. If I'm in the room reading, or on my iPad, I'll look up occasionally and see what they're talking about on CNBC, but for the standard daytime shows- talk or informational, I don't know the schedule or channel for any of them.

Katie's show was horrible from the get-go, never really got better and was cancelled after the second season. I suspect that the only reason it lasted that long was the name Katie Couric. Meredith's show may last that long because of Meredith Viera, but unless it dramatically improves, it'll follow Katie and a host of other daytime talk shows to the trash heap.

I like Meredith Vieira, too, but this show is nuts--especially with those dumb games she subjects her guests to.

In its current format, I don't see it lasting.

Thanks, I didn't realize that Katie's show was cancelled. You can tell I hardly watch TV, LOL. I thought it had survived its initial rocky start and was now a success. Either way, I wish Meredith luck and hope her show catches on.

Nope. I haven't seen it but my friend who is home days has seen it and she swears it will be "gone" before Spring. She said it was pretty awful, even for daytime tv.

Good, I thought it was me that thought it was lame and dumb and who could the audience possibly be?

She deserves better, can I say she must need the money.
