Will fall out of favor and that texting will be the favored mode of communication? I know I receive all my personal communications through texting than email.

I chat with my friends and Mr S via texts. Email, I use to send messages and receive photos from my sisters.

I text or email my sons and they usually end up calling me to actually talk so I'm not sure. I still use email exclusively for friends.

No, I think texting is for friends and family. If I need to communicate with business associates, my accountant, or attorney, I email them.

My sister and I exchange photos through texting. I know that I can do through email but we answer texts faster than we would emails.

I do the same. Although my lawyer and insurance agent prefers a text.

Moxie, do you use the messages feature on your ipad? I love that and my DIL uses that to send me pics of my grandson. Love it since I can make the pic bigger by clicking on it.

I think you just need to find out how the recipient wants to communicate. I was a bit surprised when I went through a recent refi, and I was able to take iPhone photos of some documents, and send them via text to the bank.

Text is faster. Especially for the under 30 crowd. Swype helps alot . . . although auto correct can be annoying at times. I still do both. Mainly text for under 30, email for those over 30.

Depends on who you email/text with.

Texting won't replace emails for business and for some personal correspondence.

Not everyone texts.

thankfully I have caught those *adult rated* ones before sending to my children but they do give me a chuckle when I catch them . . . or else they'd be making those lists too! YIKES.
