First off I could really use so guidance and encouragement form those of you who have been through what I need to do - apply for Social Security Disability. I should have done this several years ago but was so scared by stories people would tell me that I would chicken out.

But now, frankly, we need the extra income Social Security Disability would bring in. Many people say it is impossible to get but I know two of my relatives that have faked there way in with depression, general pains that can't be proved, etc. They got in the first time too. Sorry, but I am not the type of person who would fake my way into this program.

I do not want to be any kind of burden on you or take up too much of your time but if you could just give me a few words of encouragement, well, it may give me the strength to go on this SS journey.

I am terrified to even go forward to try for Social Security Disability. I have been so sick for three years that my brain barely works and I get so overwhelmed and start withdrawing from life. In the past two years I have been hospitalized two separate time with major problems. One stay was 11 days and the last stay was 16 days.

I have made the first step and called a disability specialist company that my cousin used to work for. The initial call lasted well over an hour and I was a mess afterwords (both mentally and physically). Immediately after this inital call I not only had an asthma attack but my blood sugar dropped to 49. I had to call for the neighbor to come help me as I thought I would pass out...

Now I got a call setting up an appointment to meet with someone. They suggested a coffeehouse but I barely leave me home except for doctor visits. My health is just shot. She agreed to come to my home on Wed June 8th plus sent a long list of things she will need for that appointment.

Is this what you went through when you first started??? I am truly so nervous and scared that I feel like cancelling it sll.

Sorry for too much info, but I really need some guidance here. Linda in MN
