Does anyone still have/watch a black and white TV?

I just read a review for a QVC dress, dated July 2014, that said, "Please describe the colors better for those of us watching black and white TVs".

I haven't seen a B&W TV since about 1990, and that was just a portable, not a "family TV". I had no idea anyone would still have one.

Do people have them in RVs or something?

My 95 year old mother still has one, she is always afraid of the "radiation" from newer TVs, microwaves phones, etc. I guess that way of thinking has worked for her, healthy as a horse still.

We have relatives that wouldn't get a microwave until they were in their eighties.

Wow, no black and white tv here. But you know what? I wish they made tvs (and kitchen appliances) like they did when I was a kid! Our 1st Magnovox console color tv lasted through my entire childhood and into my late 20s. Now days they make JUNK!

No black and white tv here. I used to have a small one that you could plug into a cigarette lighter to watch in the car if you could get reception with rabbit ears. I still have a 13 inch box color tv that I'll keep until it dies, it has better color than my small flat panel tv.

I don't know anyone that has a black and white TV.

I don't have a microwave, by choice.

It makes me wonder how old their computer is. I would want a color tv before I got a computer.

I had one in my kitchen until very recently, when we had new cabinets installed. It was very small, attached under one of the cabinets ... worked like a charm, too.
