TV LAND recently debuted a new edition of Candid Camera. Hosted by Peter Funt and Mayim Bialik, the 2014 version of Allen Funt's original CC tries to recapture the fun and silliness of the old version from the 1960s............. I was recently reminded that Joan Rivers got one of her first breaks in TV as a writer and sometime performer on CC. Her work there preceded her breakout Ed Sullivan and Tonight Show performances, and I remember it well! ...............

I watched the new Candid Camera. It is not near as funny as the original Candid Camera. Just like a lot of todays tv comedies are not as funny as the old ones!
