Feng Shui - does anyone here do this?

No...I've looked into it, and it seems like I'm doing everything wrong! But what I'm doing works for me, and I'm not going to rearrange my home to be in accordance with someone else's rules.

I had my friend paint my back door red...:0)...I think it was suppose to be the front door but that isn't the door I ever use...not to mention I live in an apartment and I don't think the owner would like us painting his dark stained front doors a bright red....lol....

Not really. I've read a little about it. I can understand that if something makes you uncomfortable, then change it. For instance, the color red is way too harsh for my psyche. I'm more relaxed and comfortable with softer colors. I don't wear red or have it in my house. That being said, I understand that certain things can irritate you. However, I don't like the theory in Feng Shui that everyone with a certain Kua number should have a mirror placed on a Southern wall...or wherever it is supposed to be placed.

I'll have to read up on that practice. I love color so as long as I can use red, yellow, gold, brown, green, etc. in my color scheme I'm happy. I hate white walls but that's just my opinion. When we moved into our home all the walls were off-white and I could not wait to add color!

Years ago when it was popular, I did the red door thing and the mirror to bring outside in and made sure there were no obstacles in the room to obstruct the energy flow. I must say people who came to my home said the place had a great vibe, peaceful. The only thing that's different now is that my front door is blue.

I practice only in a couple small ways: Beds placed so feet aren't ""facing"" the door and I have a convex mirror over my kitchen stove mainly because I had no other place that it looked right.

The best way to get started is to clear out clutter! It works for me.

Out with old, in with the new. Get rid of the old stagnant energy.

Here's some info:

Feng shui definition: Clutter is low, stagnant, blocked energy that drains energy from you and lowers the quality of your life.

Down-to-earth definition: Anything that you do not use, do not like, or do not have a place for IS clutter. Either use it, like it, find a place for it, or let it go. It is that easy.

Even if your place looks seemingly Ok on the surface and is not overrun by clutter, can you honestly say the same about your closets, your garage or your laundry room? How about the places that are mostly hidden, such as your kitchen cupboards, for example?

In order for this brilliant feng shui clutter clearing system to work, you have to promise yourself to be very brave and honest. The more honest you are, the more you will benefit from the powerful results of a new, fresh and potent feng shui energy in your home.

I don't know the principles of feng shei, but I think I do it subconsciously. I know when a room "feels" right.

I don't keep a lot of clutter around or fill a room up with useless furniture.

I was into this in 1999...........did a lot of research and redone my home at the time..........but then I got close to the Savior and felt like it was not in my best interest to continue in this type of design.........

There is a lot of work and they suggest not being around any electrical poles near your home...........bad energy...........so much to know and I enjoyed reading about it.......now I do my home the way I like..........also I had to rearrange furniture and what about doors and windows and etc the list goes on and on

Yes mirrors are important. Also the front of your home and what is hanging outside and the list goes on and on........I was so deep into this.........
