Does anyone wear 14kt gold ball earrings in 10MM?

Hi, I have them from Eterna Gold but I just checked and they are not available. I know that Macy's sells them, just be sure you use a coupon. Also Blue Nile stocks them and they have coupons too. They are all hollow but since they are earrings there is less wear on them than like a ring that is hollow.

They are nice because they go with everything and are very versatile. You can wear a nice necklace to accompany them and they won't compete with it.

I have HEAVY silver 10mm ball earring my husband bought me from Tiffany's. I must have small earlobes, because they feel like bowling balls.

Although the title in that ebay auction says 'solid', those are not solid construction. Just so somebody isn't misled, they would have to be hollow construction to only weigh in at 1gram for the pair.

Their reference to 'solid' just means that they are 14k and not something plated or filled with something else.

All that said, 10mm is pretty large so one would have to have some pretty large earlobes to wear ball studs that large. They do have 8mm ones at QVC (and elsewhere of course) that are a nice, large size in case 10mm is too large. I wouldn't be able to go larger than 8mm, but that's just me.

Pony tail holders and headbands always give me headaches...and I can't stand to "feel" my earrings. I am obviously a delicate flower, lol.

Be careful with hollow studs. I had one fall out of my ear and hit the floor. It was dented. Also make sure the posts are long enough to put a heavier back on them.

10mm is too big for me, in a ball stud. I have some gemstone ball studs that size and never wear them. I'm not as bothered by the weight, as the fact they just look too big - and I have large Buddha earlobes.

I'm with you on this one. I like dangly earrings in the bottom piercing and a smallish stud in the upper piercing.

RRR: Tell the BF they're great even though you may not be crazy about them. As long as he's buying, you're going to love them anyway, right?????

If I were going with plain gold earrings I would select a hoop. I think an elongated, oval hoop is very pretty and feminine.
