Diane Sawyer - Class Act!

Diane Sawyer just signed off of World News Tonight for the last time. She apparently will still be doing special projects for ABC. I've always enjoyed her no nonsense style and genuine compassion. She always seems to be truly interested in what and who she's reporting on, instead of just reciting the news.

I love her!!! She is the classiest news anchor out there. They don't come like her these days.

We don't get World News till 7, so she's just getting ready to sign off here. I really like a David Muir (and George) but I'll miss her.

I've always been a fan. On 9/11, when people were hurrying away from the World Trade Center, she was on the sidewalk running as fast as she could go in heels, toward it. Consummate news person.

She is amazing and so kind. I am going to miss her on that news desk but I know she won't be going far and I am excited about the person taking her position. I so enjoy listening to him.

There is a new book coming out next month called "The News Sorority" by Sheila Weller. I was just reading portions of it online. I am ordering it for my Kindle. Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer and Katie Couric all hate each other. Such competition, it's unbelievable.

I think more of this book is on The Daily Beast website too.....

I remember she was criticized for asking tough questions of O. I respect her for going outside the liberal media and doing her job for once...

She worked in the Nixon WH and continued as an assistant after he resigned.

I think she is an objective reporter, like ABC News.

It was bittersweet...I am a huge fan of Diane Sawyer and it's nice that she's going on to other things. I love David Muir and wish him well in this new anchor spot.

I saw some exerpts from that book. Quite a rivalry and cat fights among the "women of the news".
