Thought I had best get May started as time seems to fly by - no pun intended. Will copy Mousiegirl's post so we don't miss it. The following is from Mousiegirl.

---------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone! Possumm, she doesn't have a license yet, but I think it's good to begin saving for a car now because I need mine and DH needs his. I figure that by the time she has a license, she will have saved a considerable amount. She will be sixteen in November, but I'm not ready for her to drive so soon, we'll see.

The Quails have put in a few appearances, but as I said, DH went weed-whacking crazy earlier than usual this year, and I, not knowing he was up to that, wasn't able to tell him NOT to as I usually do, therefore, not many weed seeds for the Quail to eat.

Mr. Crow appeared again. I HOPE he isn't scouting the yard for his huge family. Actually, I don't hear them much either lately, do don't know what is going on.

Happy Mother's Day and weekend to all!

----------------------------------------

Thanks Mousiegirl - you have quail in your yard - how great is that!!!! We have crows all the time - they are actually quite neat and seem to never go hungry. I saw a red-tailed hawk a couple months or so ago and we rarely see them any more. In fact he sat for quite a spell on my fence - I really enjoyed watching him.

This is the time I don't see Hummers any too often - cannot figure it out as they are here ALL WINTER and then disappear in May for a few weeks. I keep their feeders filled as once in a blue moon I will see one out there. I wonder if they are hatching or breeding - I do not have a clue.

It's quite hot - has been the past few days but the temps are really going to drop and by Monday it will be plumb COLD again.

Hope everyone had a super good day!!
