C'mon now the PC just wanted to separate this thing some believe from Mr. Gore.

I don't refuse to think the climate changes, especially here in our State in the Midwest. We get all 4 seasons here. They can call it whatever they want and quote as many experts as they want, but me?

You go ahead and get ready, whatever that means. If I do anything it will be to build a bomb shelter. Chances of me using it are better than worrying about "this change I am not ready for".

More interested in the temperatures on the Moon and Mars, just in case. Ya never know!

Anyone who knows anything about this issue and does not follow only one type of source for news knows that Gore was only the first big name to bring the issue to awareness.

He has nothing to do with it now in reality, except to those who don't understand the science involved and don't want to know it.

I was just reading on FB about next months weather predictions. The article was written by Accuweather at Penn State Univ. They are predicting another brutal winter with terrible cold similar to last year and they are also saying that the great lakes areas could even get a polar vortex mid to late Sept. that could even include snow. Since DH and I no longer believe in living in the snow we are saying we may have to pack up and get going home very quickly. We are going to be sure we have shopped for everything we need for a quick escape - plastic to wrap the furniture , and RV antifreeze to have them on hand and ready to go.

Florida is predicted to be going to have a cool and wet winter. Yuck. Normally winter is the dry season in our area of SW Florida with just a few days of cool weather. Still , I'll take it over freezing cold and snow any day.

Those who live in the north - get your woolies out and laundered - you may need them early.

I read a long range forecast last week and for the Southeast, where I live, it showed "much below average temperatures" and "much above average snow and ice" for this winter. We do not like the words "snow" and "ice" here in Atlanta. I always make sure we have ample supplies of batteries, candles, food and firewood on hand at all times. We also have two small digital tv's that run on regular batteries. I don't like like last minute preparation.
