Other places, the staff becomes really upset (and hit the <STRONG>controlling</STRONG> button) if you suggest they don't need it at this time.</P> <P>I find it very disconcerting to supply the SS number at job fairs. A person I knew found that the contact at the job fair left all the applications in a cab....so much for care of private information.</P> <P>The other situation I find I back off on is filling out on-line applications, on the company's site, and being asked for my SS.
