The beauty and antiquity of the religious artifacts and architecture was breath-taking. But in the final analysis, at least for me, it seems a somewhat selfish existence. These men exist only to enter Heaven. I realize that I am probably the only person on Earth who viewed their life this way. It is a beautifully sterile place.
