*drool* I love love love peaches! I love every single thing about peaches except the fuzzy skin. I would walk around smelling like peaches if I could. The smell of a fresh peach is truly divine. I love the taste. Of course, I remove the skin and cut them into bite-size pieces. I like to put them in a bowl and eat them with my tiny fork.

One of my next door neighbors goes to Utah (well, he and his wife) to visit their sons and they always bring me back a big ol' bag of peaches. He always says 'Utah peaches are the best'. I don't know if they are the best, but they are really good!

I've worked elbow deep in the peach (cocktail) canneries out west to where I couldn't stand to look at another peach but I haven't had a decent piece of fruit in 15 years. Everything in the stores in Wisconsin has been in cold storage shipped across country, one way or the other. This topic is really making me want this year to go by fast so I can get home again.

From growing up in the beautiful southeast, I had the good fortune to enjoy locally-grown yummy peaches. But they all went commando . . .
