What's one memory you hope you will always keep?

Time goes by so fast and when I see old movies and see how old they are, I can't believe it. But if there's one thing I don't want to ever forget and hope I never do, it will be my mother and all her sweet qualities. If I remember nothing else, I hope I never have to forget her. Dad has some Alzheimer's going on and he is 90 now, and I'm not totally sure where he's at on some memories. Different days, different moods, so many differences. I can't control what happens, but just wondered if there's special events or memories we'd all like to be able to remember as long as possible. ??

My children my mother who tried so hard. to,save us from our abusive father. My wedding night. And my grandson. I knew my daughter was going to go back to work and I told her I would watch him in an emergency. Then when I first held him in arms my heart said nobody was going to love his as fiercely as I would. I watched him until he started kindergarten. I call him every day and a few times a month he comes to my house and we do fun projects together mostly science.

ITA. Our present is to a great degree the sum of our past experiences...some affect us more than others, but they all contribute to who we are.

Too many to name. But I do have one regret. I realize I know where my dad was born but I just realized the other day I don't know where he grew up. He told stories about his youth but I don't know where that was. I called my cousin and she said the same thing.

Since I was an adult?

Currently a Shih-Tzu:...except she is all black with a white diamond on her chest.

A Lasso-Apso/Maltese mix:...

My first dog as an adult...

she was my everything at that time as were/are the other two I mentioned first. Just joys to own.

And many, many cats dumped on our door when we lived in the country. I had to bottle feed more times then I can count, treat rattle snake bitten ones, ones with broken hips etc. Awful that people dump animals.

Many people tend to live in the past - they completely miss their present life trying to relive the past one. Sad.
