Having surgery next month.

A month ago my ear drum perforated due to sinus infection. The ent dr gave it a month for it to heal but since there was 50% perforation of the ear drum it did not heal. Today I was scheduled for the surgery for August 21st. It is an hour long surgery which is done under general anesthesia and the recovery time is 6 weeks. I know it sounds silly but I always worry that I will never wake up from anesthesia. Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks.

I was terrified of the anesthesia when I had hour long eye surgery a year ago, but the results were worth any anxiety I felt. So just convince your self to keep your eyes on the prize, and enjoy your newly repaired ear when it's over.

Everyone worries about anesthesia. It's a universal fear. You'll be fine. But you'll still worry until it's all over.

The anesthesia always frightens me, too, dimple. Nothing to be ashamed of and I'll be praying for your courage in the Lord to see you through this process of healing. Be well soon!
