I understand that's the term for it. Everytime I have a new CD of music to listen to in the car it happens. After I have listened to it several times I get some of the songs stuck in my head and it about drives me nuts. When I go to bed I can't even sleep for hearing the music over and over and over. Makes me question my mental health. Anybody else deal with this? I love music, especially while driving, but think I'm going to have to stop listening!

The music at many concerts is WAY too loud so I know what you are saying there. Sometimes the sound in a movie theatre aggravates my ears too. As I've become older I'm a lot more sensitive to loud noises.

OMG! I opened this thread to actually see if one had real worms crawling around in their ears, only to find I have them, terribly. Different songs and the words to them are just in my mind every second it seems. It's driving me crazy. I don't have them when watching TV. Right now, it's "Saturday Night In the Park", if there ever was such a song! I'm glad I'm not alone.

mm

O>K., just reread the posts, and I see some one mentioned it, or something like it, that's how easy it happens to me. I remember it now, and if it's the same song, I like it too.

my edit 2

Most young people have sustained enough hearing loss that volume levels must be much higher so that movie dialogue can be understood. Therefore people who have NOT sustained noise caused hearing damage have to suffer the elevated volume levels. Makes no sense at all, but that's the truth.
