Hello my friends! How was your day! Busy here, but in a nice kind of way. Made some hamburger soup for lunch with ground turkey - Delicious! Then Angie took us out for supper at the Cafe - had a great time!! The day was spent with visiting, praying together, and shelling peas for the soup etc. just a nice day with a great ending!! Angie always treats us at our favorite restaurant once a year when she's here! It would take the whole sheet to post my blessings so those are a few! How wonderful it is to count your blessings, and take your mind off your worries. God is in control of everything anyway.

We are judged by our actions, not by our intentions. Lord, may I show

my love for You through charity and goodness toward others.

Meditation for the day:

"Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."

When God finds two or three of us in union, who only want God's will to

be done, who want only to serve God, God has a plan that can be revealed

to them. The grace of God can come to people who are together in one

place with one accord. A union like this is miracle-working. God is

able to use such people. Only good can come through such consecrated

people, brought together in unified groups for a single purpose and of a

single mind.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may be part of a unified group. I pray that I may

contribute my share to its consecrated purpose.

THE "U" IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,

So many great people are spelled with a U,

Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

God's Coffee

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to

visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into

complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned

with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic,

glass, crystal, some plain looking, some

expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said:

"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving

behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the

best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases

it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously

went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in

society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the

type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God

has provided us."

daughter, Vanessa. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his magazine, on

which was printed the map of the world. Tearing it into small pieces,

Good evening!

I am blessed in many ways, like Gloria, it would take a whole sheet to list them. It has also been a busy day around here, just now sitting down after supper so thought I would drop by and say hello to everyone. Hope you have all had a good day. Thinking and praying for all.

Please continue to keep my cousin and brother in law in prayer. My cousin is recovering from heart transplant surgery. My brother in law's one kidney is failing. He had to go to his transplant DR yesterday but I haven't talked to my sister to see what was said.

Our would, our country, all God's people need prayer. We all have our struggles and trials, worries and sorrows. It seems sometimes that God isn't around but I know he is. Always close by, always open, never closed. He is a 24-7, 365 day God. How great is that???!!!!

While out and about this morning we went by the alpaca farm and all of them were out. Different colors and sizes, just so doggone cute. I want to go pet them but I'm not sure they'd like that. I am going to ask one day....the owners of the farm...not the alpacas! lol

My husband just left to go blueberry picking. Lord knows how many he'll come back with! lol He loves those things...I hate them. YUCK. Gloria...I hate them just as much as I hate raspberries. lol

My son was on an episode of American Pickers a couple of weeks ago. He works at the Nashville store and they were filming a while back. He said the part he was in took 2 hours to film but was aired and cut to 1 minute. He loaded something in a truck for Danielle and unloaded stuff from a recent pick. Perhaps one day they will show it again and I can let you know so you can see my son...for a whole minute!!! He didn't even get his 15 minutes of fame! lol

Well, I think I've said about all I have to say so I will hush.
