When the results of a poll are given, would your reply usually be with the majority?

Like the daily MSN or Yahoo homepage polls?

I am always with the majority even though I often think it will be the other way. MSN today has an interesting one about changing the name of "man" to "fan" so as to not be s*xist in the Univerity of Utah's fight song.

hmmmmm...strange---it seems to me that everybody has some type of agenda-----I'm hardly ever in the majority. )

It doesn't matter what the poll question is, I just mean if you answer when you click on to see the totals, are you usually in the majority, I always am. Regardless.

all online polls can be skewed with many voting repeatedly. also comments on articles can be easily skewed in an attempt to sway public opinion by users using multiple user names.

You don't know you are in the majority until you click to see the results.

Maybe I am the only one who answers the daily homepage polls

people can vote repeatedly in online polls which proves them to be useless.

if online polls were representative of the 'majority"" then romney would have been president.

eve, on the ones I do once the results are on the screen, one cannot vote again. But it is no big deal.

but, you can vote again. you clear your cookies, go to that page again and vote. wash, rinse, repeat (learned that here)

you can vote all day long using this formula unless the polling site is by invitation only or using another form of tracking; ip or mac addresses.

You don't know the results until you vote. Then, you're either in the "majority" or "minority"..... It doesn't matter what the subject is. You just vote YES or NO. I don't think anyone is getting this - maybe I'm wrong.....

yes, you're correct but there are many forums that will tell their members to go fix* a poll once they have voted on and seen the results.

that's why i said that most online polls aren't useful because there is no method in tracking who has voted outside of using cookies and cookies can easily be removed.

*fix = skew.
