Doggie door question

I currently have a doggie door installed in my sliding door at my home. I am wondering if there is such a thing as a doggie door for an outside storm door? This is what I have at my summer cottage and I'd really like to install the same type of door there as I have for my dogs at home so they will be able to still continue with letting their selves in and out. My husband does not want to cut a hole in the house to install a doggie door as we have a old house with a block outside wall and this just is not something we will do. So if you have any other suggestions for this type of thing I would really appreciate it.

Be very careful with doggie doors depending on where you live. Raccoons will use them freely if you are not careful.

We had a big problem with them.

They make storm/ screen doors with the doggie door already cut in it. They are bit pricey, I saw them at Lowes.

I just looked, the brand is Larson. You may be able to shop around and find a better price.

All kinds of critters can visit you via the doggie door. Be careful. Also, screened windows at ground level leading to the basement can be dangerous with wildlife visitors getting in. If the screen is large enough, a slim burglar can also drop in.

There is a door you can install in a screen door so I don't know why you couldn't put it in a storm door. They only make them for smaller dogs. I had one for my miniature poodle. I think I got it through the Improvements Catalog. If you'll do an online search, you can find some specialty doors.

Be careful of the electronic door. I know 2 dogs that were left out in the cold for hours because either the door became frozen shut. Luckily their parents found them in time.

I have both a storm door with a built-in doggie door and a storm door that I had a doggie door installed. I'd go for the one that is built-in. I found the built in one for $224 at either Home Depot or Lowes. It has a window that opens with a screen.

I had a cat come through the doggie door a few times but that has been it.

I've also had to crawl through the dog door a few times....locked myself out of the house. Mine is the only door to my back porch so I make sure to lock my house door out back that connects to the porch so a burglar may get into the porch but not into the house.
