Venus: Double face color, double eye color cat!

Meet Venus the fascinating feline with the world’s most interesting face. The five-year old tortoiseshell not only has two different colored eyes (known as heterochromia), but she also has two starkly different fur colors split exactly down the middle of her face.

Venus’ rare appearance has earned her the nickname Chimera cat (a single organism composed of genetically distinct cells), although the validity of the claim has yet to be proven.

Not surprisingly, Venus has amassed a large following online and her Facebook page alone has over 175,000 fans. Venus lives in a loving home with two other feline siblings plus two canine siblings. For more pictures and info check out Venus on Facebook.

Oh, wow! That cat is both beautiful and unique. I thought for sure that the picture was photoshopped. The gene pool was having fun with this cat's DNA.

I was convinced the photo was altered, but nope....there's a little speck of hair on her nose that crosses over to the other side.....every picture on Facebook has that imperfection....even when she was a kitten. Pics show she has a pretty nice home (!). Animals like this could be abused or used for ill-gotten gain, but all she has is a Facebook page...like Colonial Meow (RIP)!

This kitty is so beautiful. I feel like I'm looking at a unicorn because her markings are so unique, it almost seems unreal.

Totally amazing that the face is cut exactly in half.

Reminds me of the squirrels I have seen lately that are half black and half red (or is it gray?). Haven't seen one in a while so I can't remember the second color. Anyway the neighbors have seen them too. It's the same with them. There is a definite line of demarcation between the black and the rest but it's like half the body not the face.
