I tried many different ways to put in this info, even starting a new thread. They all ended up looking like the ones here.

Checked her "My Activity" and saw that her last post was on June 7th in something called "Philosophy" whatever that might be. See if this post ends up with the same jibberish.

This post caught my eye. I have noticed she doesn't seem to be here these days. I just love those squirrel pictures she posts. I always look forward to the next one. I need my squirrel fix!

I miss her posts. Losing her father and dealing with all the multiple complex life issues she chronicled in her thread entitled "Depression" (Health & Fitness forum) combined to create some painful challenges. In addition, she's dealing with a difficult workplace and some major life changes. Her last posts on various threads were on June 7. I hope she returns, and I continue to send prayers and positive vibes out there to her.

Hi guys!

Sorry I haven't been around lately; there are reasons for that, of course.

One of the reasons is that I have spent a considerable amount of time researching cancer prevention and alternative treatments not available in this country. Most--well, pretty much ALL--of the people on both sides of my family die of cancer, and I'd like to avoid it if possible...or at least have a comprehensive idea of what treatments are available (not just in the U.S.).

I've also been in the process of making some lifestyle changes.

And--to be honest--I feel like I am stuck in the "anger" stage of grief. I know that coming here when you are extremely angry to begin with only leads to trouble, so I have been spending my time elsewhere.

Things have been very strained between my mother and I, and I spoke to my brother this weekend for the first time since early May, so I guess you could say things aren't going well.

Even before my father passed, I figured my mother would try to pull my strings the way she used to pull my dad's strings, but I didn't realize how extremely difficult it would be to be around her. (If I shrug the "wrong" way or stand the "wrong" way, she reads into it and treats me like I club baby seals for fun.) I told her that I am done being treated like cr*p, and I'm not going to put up with her nastiness.

Anyway, I'm in a bad situation right now...and I'm trying to get out of it.

Mistri, I am fairly new to these boards, but some people have memorable names and yours is one of them so I tend to notice your posts. I am very sorry to hear how things are going with your mother. That makes life so very difficult and sad. I hope things get better soon and that you get to implement the changes you want to make to your life. Take care (((mistri)))
