Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd have been fired from the View. Bill Geddie will not be coming back next season. Barbara Walters is going to be on the show on Friday. Geez, I thought she retired. Whoopi Goldberg was asked to come back. They should just cancel this show. It has been going downhill for quite sometime. I quit watching it about a year ago. They keep hiring the wrong hosts and the show is dumb downed-- Not an intellect among them. They are thinking of Ross Matthew and Jesse Palmer. There is a rumor that Rosie O'Donnell may return----what a mistake if that happens. Just sharing.

I never liked that show and seems like it's been on forever. It's time for a new show to take over that time slot.

If they are basically getting rid of everyone, time to get rid of the show, but what other concept is left?

To me this show has been doomed from the get go, due to the wrong hosts. I have never been naturally drawn to watch this show, nor have I walked away feeling enlightened or entertained after watching an episode. I too, am done with it; regardless of who they hire in the future.

Ross Matthews ? His voice alone would have everyone muting the show 60 seconds in. If they want a token gay guy, how about Mario Cantone ? Get rid of the useless, unappealing Whoppi ( as well as the already departing dopey dullards)and bring back Rosie.......now you've got a show worth watching

Both of those women are dingbats of the highest order. Shepherd is just ignorant and superstitious, adding NOTHING to the conversation. Mc Carthy is ignorant in an even more pernicious way. I imagine a majority of replacements would be an improvement but I'm not foolish enough to assume it's a given.

The View has been Horrible from the very beginning. Elizabeth Hasselbeck was the only person that had any common sense at all and Jay Bahar was awful to her every chance she got. It was good riddance when Joy left. Sherry was a ditz from the very beginning. Never saw Jenny McCarthy so I can't comment about her.

The View is dying a slow slow death.

Hoda and Kathi Lee are a hoot! I love them! I'll have another glass of wine please.

Wrong, Sherri wasn't fired. She wouldn't come to mutual terms over her salary so she elected not to come back. Big difference. Let's tell it like it is.

Rosie would make it interesting, but bet she wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole !

The show was mildly entertaining at times in the beginning, but the obvious ultraliberal slant got a bit old for me. If you're going to have a show called The View, then make it fair. The majority would never let Elizabeth Hasselbeck speak, making her talk really fast to try to get her thoughts in. It began to be less entertainment, and more indoctrination.

I loved this show when it first came on. I have stuck with it until the Sherry Shepherd/Jenny McCarthy era. They were just too much to take. I hope they get some quality intelligent hosts to work with Whoppi so it will be worth watching again. So much of day time TV is a waste of time.
