I thought it was very original! The murderer coming after you because you got him off but didn't show him respect by shaking his hand?

I'd seen it before and it was interesting to learn that they had used and established a finger print bureau to solve crime.

I recorded it and tried watching but it was just too creepy. I don't need that as the last thing I watch before going to bed.

I did, and I also caught the special on Scotland Yard. I really enjoyed both shows. I really miss all the English mysteries that used to be so prevalent on this station.

I thought the plot was ridiculous. Brilliant barrister gets brutal murderer off on a technicality and then sends his wife to the country and leaves her there even after she spots an intruder. He sees the murderer but the murderer leaves no evidence. Then the CPS allows barristers from his chambers to argue the case. Just because it's British doesn't make it brilliant.

He didn't send her to the country and leave her there. They planned to go to the country together, he got delayed and she decided to go on her own with him to follow in a couple of hours. She's the one who was ridiculous.

As to the murderer, he is obviously mentally ill, paranoid, so he overreacted to the slight. The barrister should have had better sense than to show his distaste for the murderer.
