Hi tansy...I started this thread so as not to "hijack" the other one

To continue...I haven't been to the lavender farm in Sequin..yet...But I was in Port Townsend last weekend at the farmer's market and they were selling lavender from Sequim.

I bought some great lavender soap and the lady working the booth was really nice.

I did a trip once all the way around the peninsula and Olympic Natl Park...It's beautiful over there...

Maybe you could get a little cottage there

The Palindaba Lavender Farm is I think on San Juan Island. They have shops in some of the malls. There is also a jewelry component on San Juan. They make gorgeous sterling and glass lavender blossoms that they use as pendants, bracelets, ear rings, etc.

They have a store in La Conner, too. I love their lavender jewelry. I'd like to visit their farm, too.

I was at the Artists Garage Sale at the Shack Center in Everett Saturday. Great bargains on professional art and crafts. Monday, I went to the Spy Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. Great presentation and coverage of the history of espionage in this country. Lots of artifacts that look like something out of Maxwell Smart's collection.

Yes, it will be fun. It's nice to have family nearby. When I was in college and first getting started after college, I wanted to move FAR away. And I did. That's how I eventually ended up in the PNW, and they eventually followed.

The jewelry's lovely. I'll check it out in the LaConner store. Last time we were there it was quite crowded so we drove over to Anacortes and had lunch in the Calico Cupboard there. Excellent salted caramel salted brownie!

There's also a Calico Cupboard in Mt. Vernon, the three being only a few miles from one another. There's also a place in Anacortes called Ghiridellies with really great food and kind of a funky atmosphere. I do so love LA Conner, though.

The one in Mt Vernon is next to Feather Your Nest, a home decor/antique store. Seeds in La Conner is too. I think it might be affiliated with the people who own Calico Cupboard and Seeds?
