I find refrigerated coffee lasts many days, give it a try!. I think everyone's taste tolerance varies - for instance in a restaurant I know if coffee is an hour or two old (especially decaf!) since I drink it black.

I like to have an iced coffee every morning. I usually brew 2 servings of my favorite DD hazelnut at night (in a 4-cup drip coffee maker) so I have 1 serving for the following morning, and one the day after that. My question is if I make a 10-cup pot (5 servings), would it still be good to drink on the 5th day? As I'm not a coffee snob, I'm curious as to what everyone does.

Try it and see. It won't be a health risk, only a taste risk.

If you don't leave it on the warmer before you ice it, that will be a big help. Drip coffee left on the warmer starts going downhill pretty quickly and I wouldn't drink it after an hour on the warmer.

I usually make a coffee concentrate in the summer to use for iced coffee. Here is a good link to the process. The link is about making the concentrate for hot coffee, but it works perfectly well for iced coffee.

The freshness aspect is why I linked to coffee concentrate made with a cold brewing process which protects the flavor better than a hot brewing process.

I make a large pot of very strong coffee and put it in the refrigerator for 5 to 7 days. I mix it with a little milk and chocolate syrup in my Ninja for a delicious frozen treat. The last of the coffee on day 5 to 7 tastes just as good as the first.

I really love iced coffee, but when I make it I brew it fresh with cold water and coffee grounds. Pioneer Woman has this recipe/approach on her website. I don't make it all the time, but when I do I can drink it for about a week. Works just fine. Now, it may not last a week, but it could.

If using leftover coffee or coffee brewed the night before, I'm not sure if that affects how long it will stay nice for you. ???

But every once in a great while I've tried the newer concentrates. Some people swear by them. There's a brand that Whole Foods sells called Chameleon that's very good. But be forewarned that I think for a smaller bottle than the one I purchased at TJs today it is pricey. I want to say $9.99 for a much smaller bottle.

I just got a Jura frother---heats and froths--and I am very pleased with the way it works. However, I'm having trouble with the right ratio of coffee/frothed milk. I'm using almond milk and it works well. Maybe I just need to experiment with it more, but if anyone has a tried and true method that they like, it would save me a lot of trial and error. I tried using instant espresso powder, but don't care for the flavor of that. I would like to be able to make the coffee, keep it in the refrigerator and use it as a concentrate another time. I have a Keurig and don't know if the espresso K-cups would be strong enough to make a latte---maybe if I used the smallest amount of water. We really like the Green Mountain French Vanilla Iced Coffee. Has anyone used that in their Keurig with the smallest amount of water to make a latte? If anyone has a method that they think comes close to a Starbuck's latte, I would love to know. Thanks

you might take left over coffee and put into an ice tray to freeze/place in a gallon bag and save for iced coffee. ?

better than regular ice cubes so as not to water down the coffee.

CAT
