Good morning, ladies! I originally posted this in "Among Friends" last night, but I don't think many ladies have seen it. I thought it was a great story and thought it might be seen more if I posted it in "Pet Lovers".

This is just nuts, and I hope you enjoy reading....

I live in the country, but not THAT far in the country. Earlier this afternoon I was coming home from grocery shopping, and as I turned onto my road I could see a dog walking in the middle of my country road. I started slowing down and realized that it was an English Bulldog that I had never seen before. I stopped the car and pulled over. I know these dogs are very expensive and I was sure someone would be looking for him. My intention was to try holding him and calling the local sheriff. (Yes, in my area they would have come out to pick him up). I got out of my car and called the dog to check for a collar & tags. The dog started walking toward me when I saw what I thought was another dog walking out of the field, onto the road and toward me. The Bulldog obviously had a traveling companion.

Well, the other dog was not a dog at all but...a pig!! I kid you not! A full grown PIG!! He (or she) was very cute and started walking to me just like the dog!! Just as friendly as can be. I couldn't believe it. It sort of didn't suprise me that they would be traveling together. I have always heard that pigs have (at least) the intelligence of dogs.

Far off in the distance I could hear someone calling for them. This woman, their obvious owner, showed up out of nowhere. Her house is on my road, but sits back from the road. I called to her asking if they belonged to her, she said that they did, thanked me for stopping, telling me that "they" had never walked out to the road before.

How bazaar is this story?! I swear that it's absolutely true and I just had to share. Now all I can think about is....where does this pig "live"?? Would it be a domestic pig that lived indoors like a dog, (EWWWW.....) or would it live outside in its own pen? I mean....really.

Got me thinking...can anyone top this one? What kind of crazy animal story do you have? Please share.
