Bird 6

flighty as a chickadee-snatching

sunflower seeds, dodging the red fox

who climbs up the Spruce looking

for a feathered meal

flighty as robins guarding nests

from owlettes who are

babes themselves

Street Sign:

Men working in trees

working with birds

birds more skillful

with sticks and mud

with twine and fur

dressing the trees

where men work

I had some icky wallpaper in my office and I wrote "bird" poems on the walls now it's wonderful turquoise
