I never carry pepper spray.

First of all, it can be taken from you, and used against you.

Second of all, if you happen to be downwind when you use it, (and who is really going to check that when you are in a panic fight or flight situation?), again, it can come back at you.

Nope. Not me.

I use my voice, my hand/f*sts, and my feet.

Those can NEVER be taken away from you or used against yourself.

I carried pepper spray years ago on my key ring. My DH accidentally set it off in our house. I would never carry it again.

No pepper spray for this male. I carry something else for the protection of myself and possibly those around me. Will leave it at that.

I carry it but the last two times I wanted to buy some, it was EXTREMELY hard to find.

I exercise my dogs on a handicap scooter. I always keep a canister of pepper spray in the basket in case we're attacked by a loose dog. We have strict leash laws but it's not unusual for an excited dog to jump his fence.

The muggers in my area are pretty quick. I don't think any of the would stand still while I fished around my bag for pepper spray......

My dh gets it at our outdoor army navy store. And I need to carry it. I run at our local park. Beautiful park. And I get my run in at dawn. It's not dark and there are other runners out there but I'm sorry. There are weird and evil people out there. My dh is military and taught me to defend myself. But I'm 5'1" and under 120. And as much as I stregnth train, I do not stand a chance against a strong male meaning to do me harm. I do everything I can to not put me in a bad situation but sometimes that doesn't even matter. I am getting pepper spray. And i will spray the you know what out of anyone meaning me harm. Sorry if I got a little intence! Lol

Smart idea, Spooky. I worked with a girl who often ran in the park - both at dawn and dusk - one time a guy jumped out of the woods and tried to attack her. She screamed and kicked and got away. Before then, a guy once stopped her when she was walking alone and asked her the time - then tried to grab her handbag when she looked down. I think it's a good idea to carry it when out walking - you never know what kind of mean dog will come out of nowhere and attack you!

I bought mine at a sporting goods store. I was making a trip driving alone.
