topic knee surgery question in Community Chat

i am seeing an ortho doc next week as it seems I am heading for knee replacement surgery. I have been reading about the new knee mini procedures and i am interested in them for a few reasons. Of course a mini procedure is always a better choice - less trauma to the area so quicker healing. Also , i have read the hospital stay is only overnight which will save us alot of money because we have to pay $300/night in the hospital so I'd certainly like to stay in the hospital as little as possible. Also, i have read they can do both knees at once if you have a mini procedure. Also would save us $$$.

Has anyone had one of these procedures? i am very interested in personal opinion as I have read alot already but nothing can replace the personal experience. So far i don't even know if I will be acceptable for the procedure as I haven't had an MRI yet.
