arrrghhhh, I was on there forever. heck with it. I did get back on the old way. I hate this stuff and does it really make a difference?

Probably not. It's my understanding the breach was discovered some time ago. I would think Ebay has fixed the flaw and so if they were going to get your information they have already got it. I will probably get slammed for saying that.

Anyway I was able to change my password. Maybe if you try again later you will be able to do it. Perhaps they got slammed when the news came out and the site will take time to sort it all out?

scottie, I think it's all straight now, but it ticked me off trying to do what they had asked for. I'm not great on computers, and I tried, to no avail for a while. Hope all is well, IF they want me to buy I'm sure it'll be fixed, right?!

It finally worked for me as well as my husband. Today, when we clicked onto edit for the password under our account it generated an email. Yesterday, that didn't happen. So, once we went to the email and clicked onto the link it provided, we were both able to successfully change our password.

Do we have to do anything on PayPal????

I rarely, if ever, use E-Bay....but I thought I should change it...just in case...

A good rule of thumb is to have a completely different password on Paypal as the one you have on eBay.

I've never received anything (lately) telling me of a breach and recommending a password change. Wouldn't they be emailing people? Or is this just a really old story?

someone on the purse forum said ebay called her and told her to change hers AGAIN because they were doing some work with the system!
