It's a new variety show Starring Maya Rudolph the SNL and Bridesmaids alum.

From this article, it sounds like it is just this one. BUT it could get picked up as a weekly?

Also, this article tells that her mother was singer Minnie Riperton ("Lovin' You). I didn't know that.

I think it is supposed to be a series, a weekly variety show.

This show was wonderful. Sketches not too long, quick vignette types. Loved all of them and her supporting cast members were spot on. Loved Sean Hayes.

Yes! The Sketches were funny all the way through.

I loved the one where they were selling clams and peanuts and the "Garmyn" family.

I always liked her on SNL....extremely talented.

Do you know who her mom is? Singer, Minnie Riperton, who died when Maya was very young.

I'm a big fan of Maya Rudolph and was looking forward to an hour of fun watching her show. After 30 minutes I turned it off. Gosh, I thought the show was horrible. Skits were choppy, singing numbers were halting and off key. I was very disappointed.

I'd have to agree. I would not say it was horrible, rather a disappointing. She was so good on SNL as a cast member but not strong enough to carry an entire show.

I can watch it in a few days on NBC on the computer. Most of the networks offer viewings of their prime time shows a few days after it was aired.

I love the black list but missed the first couple episodes. I viewed them online on the network.
